Dec. 4: Chocolate & Spirits Festival

The 11th annual Chocolate & Spirits Festival will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Bell Tower Shops, corner of U.S. 41 and Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers. Tthe evening will feature chocolate creations to sample from area restaurants and businesses, holiday spirits, live music and a silent auction for great prizes. Admission is free. Tickets are purchased at the event for $1 apiece and traded for the chocolate samples, beverages and chances for the silent auction. Proceeds benefit the library system’s annual Southwest Florida Reading Festival. Scheduled for March 20, 2010, the festival is a free community event to showcase the library’s programs and resources and to promote reading and literacy.

Nov. 20: Teen Dance

The Sheriff's Youth Activities League will sponsor ia Teen Dance Friday at the Veterans Park Gymnasium, 55 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres. Open to ages 12-17 the dance runs from 7:00-10 p.m. It will be supervised by sheriff's deputies and parks and recreation personnel. There is a $5 admission charge.
