Nov. 24: Emerging Dragon

INternational news correspondent Andrew Fone lecture on China followed by a wine and cheese reception in the Woman's Club Room where Fone will be available for a more intimate conversation on his favorite topic. With 20 plus years of television journalism experience, Fone has covered major national and international events, which include the death of Princess Diana, the Israeli-Hezbollah War, the Beijing Olympics, the last presidential campaign and more. Nov. 30: Charlotte town hall meeting

Commissioner Tricia Duffy will hold a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Port Charlotte Beach Recreation Center, 4500 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte. Parking is free.
