Cornhole games

CORNHOLE Tringali Recreation Center, 3460 N. Access Rd. in Englewood, will be holding Cornhole games every Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  Cornhole is a game similar to horseshoes except the object is to throw a light bean bag toward a board with a hole in the middle.  This game is widely popular in the Northeastern part of the U.S. and is now making its way to Florida.  The cost is $5.00 per person.  For more information, please call 941.681.3742.

Dec. 17: Genealogical Society

The Lee County Genealogy Society will meet at 1 p.m. Dec. 17 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 4141 Deleon St., Fort Myers. It will also be the annual Christmas celebration with appetizer/dessert buffet. There is no charge to attend but bring a favorite appetizer or dessert to share with others.
