Mendez humor keeps Garden Club talk light

Kerry Ann Mendez kept an overflow crowd at the Boca Grande Garden Club’s monthly meeting in stitches March 3 as she shared humorous stories and hilarious pictures of garden adventures.
Using her own garden as a case study, Mendez demonstrated how to turn a tiny tract of land surrounded by unsightly natural and manmade objects into an incredibly beautiful, inviting colorful space using mostly perennials and shrubbery.
Under the premise that gardening needs to be fun and not work, Mendez maintains that every garden should be low maintenance regardless of where it is locate.
