Chamber party ‘exceptional’

April 23, 2009
Gasparilla Gazette

If you didn't make it to the Eagle Grille for the first annual Thousand Days of March Chamber Party, just kick yourself right now. The atmosphere was laid-back -- the food was exceptional and the service was spot on. Managers Roxanne and Tom Callahan treated their fellow Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce members to some dockside relaxation after a hectic month of March. Then, to top it off, Marine Max owner, Bob Zagers, arrived on a 52-foot Sea Ray with staffers Pete Haven and Craig Massey to provide a sunset cruise for the business card draw. Thank you Roxanne and Tom for hosting an exceptional Chamber party, and thank you Bob Zagers of Marine Max for making it extraordinary.

Thank you also to Chef Frank Colton and Sous Chef Antonio Olivero. You have elevated "American Regional Comfort Food" to a new level. Chef Frank Colton used southern homestyle favorites from Texas, Louisiana, Florida and the Carribean for inspiration and created a repertoire of innovative comfort foods that are outstanding. I can't wait to see what he does next.

Once again, on behalf of the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors, thank you so very much!

Lynda Lancaster

Executive Director
