Army National Guard Pfc. Montana Howarth has graduated from nine weeks of basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
Howarth studied the Army mission and received instruction and training exercises in drill and ceremonies, Army history, core values and traditions, military courtesy and justice, physical fitness, first aid, rifle marksmanship, weapons use, map reading and land navigation, foot marches, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers and tactics.
The 2008 graduate of Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda is the son of James and Debra Howarth of Cherrybrook Loop in Fort Myers.
