The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will pay special attention to traffic enforcement at these locations Nov. 23-29.
SPEED ENFORCEMENT: Veterans Boulevard from Peachland to Harbor boulevards in Port Charlotte where 22 crashes involving 38 vehicles in 2008 injured 13 causing $96,900 in damages; and Placida Road from State Road 776 to Rotonda Boulevard West where 17 crashes involving 33 vehicles injuring five and causing $78,110 in damages last year.
TRAFFIC LIGHT ENFORCEMENT: U.S. 41 and Harbor Boulevard in Port Charlotte where 21 crashes involving 43 vehicles injuring eight last year causing $60,940 in damages; and SR 776 and Beach Road in Englewood where 15 crashes involving 28 vehicles injuring seven last year causing $81,250 in damages.
