Investigators found the two bad rear tires coupled with the wet road conditions, caused the car to lose traction and spin out of control into the bus. As the vehicle lost control, it went into the southbound lane where it was struck by a Lee County school bus. The driver was Elfego Mercado-Quintana, 28, of 5821 Buckingham Road No. 5, Fort Myers. The passenger was Adrian Nunez-Romero, 30, of 5821 Buckingham Road No. 2, Fort Myers. |
