Charlotte County Sheriff's detective have arrested a man in Clovis, N.M., on a warrant for impregnating a 14-year-old girl following Hurricane Charlie.

Herbert Clinton Miller, formerly of Harbour Heights. has been charged charged with lewd and lascivious battery and returned to the Charlotte County Jail.

Detectives said after the hurricane damaged the home of a woman and her two children, they moved in with Miller, a family friend. TMiller and the girl reportedly started having sex between October 2004 and 2005 when she was 14 and he was 37.

The girl became pregnant and had the baby in August 2006.

Attempts to locate Miller were unsuccessful until detectives checked MySpace.com where they found Miller had posted numerous photos of the girl and their baby. Miller remains in the County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
