The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will pay special attention to traffic enforcement at these locations from starting Monday through Sunday: SPEED: The length of Gillot Boulevard in Gulf Cove where nine crashes in 2008 crashes involving 13 vehicles hurt eight people and caused $58,550 in damages. Also, Peachland Boulevard from Kings Highway to Harbor Boulevard in Port Charlotte where 36 crashes involving 71 vehicles in 2008 killed one person and injured 24 while causing $138,585 in damages. TRAFFIC LIGHT: State Road 776 and Spinnaker Boulevard in Englewood East where 17 crashes involving 31 vehicles last year injured 12 people causing $61,500 in damages. Also, U.S. 41 and West Tarpon Boulevard in Port Charlotte where 24 crashes involving 53 vehicles in 2008 hurt 10 people causing $104,200 in damages. |
