Winn-Dixie robber sought
The Lee County Sheriff's Office Robbery Unit is searching for a man who robbed a Winn-Dixie, 14600 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, at 7:47 p.m. Monday.
An employee working at the service counter told deputies a 5-foot-8 white male with brown hair and blue eyes wearing a blue sweatshirt and black jeans entered the front of the store and quickly exited. He then re-entered and demanded money at the counter. The clerk opened the register and stepped back. The suspect reached over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled on foot westbound toward the Fort Myers Shores neighborhood. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.
