Michael Edward Zelkin, 70, of Marlboro, Vt., died in Venice May 25, 2010.

He was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was a winter resident of Venice. Zelkin was an active bridge player at the Venice-Nokomis Duplicate Bridge Club.

Surviving family members include his wife, Emily Zelkin of Marlboro, Vt., and Venice; sons John Vogel of Greensboro, N.C., Peter Vogel of New York, and Kyle Vogel of Menlo Park, Calif.,; daughter Maya Zelkin of Shrewsbury, Vt.; sister Sheila Siegel of Moorestown, N.J.; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
