Police seek Port Charlotte gun store burglar

Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives are asking the public for help in identifying a burglary suspect caught on surveillance video trying to break into a gun shop in Port Charlotte.

Checking a burglary at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday to Shine Rehab Physical Therapy, 2301-C Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, police say nothing appeared missing. In Unit-B,next to the other business, deputies reported an attempted burglary to A & H Guns. The owner gave surveillance camera video to detectives for processing.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, light brown or blonde short hair, 5-foot-4 to 5-6" tall, wearing a distinctive Phillies baseball hat and a diamond in his left ear.
