40-year trucking CEO dead at 96

Raymond W. Mino of Englewood passed away Sept. 30 at the age of 96.

Born Dec. 14, 1914 in Glastonbury, Conn., he was a graduate of Mt. Hermon School, attended the University of Connecticut, and was president of the family owned trucking and moving business for 40 years.

Mino was a Rotarian for 30 years and a member of Boca Royal Country Club in Englewood.

He was predeceased by his wife, Irene (Peragallo), and his second wife, Elsie (Castagna). He is survived by his daughter, Eileen; sons, Raymond Jr. and Gary; two step-sons, Robb and Greg Gaura; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Englewood United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fl 34238.
