Marianne K. Patton, 60, of Englewood died Oct. 8.
Born Oct., 23, 1950, in Superior, Wis., to Ivor and Eleanor (Dumas) Nelson, she moved to the Englewood area 26 years ago.
She was an insurance agent for Key Agency of Englewood, which has offices on Boca Grande, and formerly worked for Purmort and Martin Insurance Agency of Sarasota. She was a member of Sarasota Insurance Women's Group, Charlotte County Grandparents Group and a member of the Doe's of the Elk's Lodge of Port Charlotte.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick, of Englewood; daughter, Angela (Mike) Engblom of Duluth, Minn.; mother, Eleanor Buttigieg of Englewood; sister, Nancy (Rick) Cornell of Englewood; brothers, James Nelson of Rotonda West, Greg Nelson of Orlando, and Edward (Julie) Nelson of Maplewood; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, son, Douglas P. DeRosier, and her brother, Ivor Nelson Jr.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lemon Bay Funeral Home.
