The skeletal remains of an adult male were found May 4 at the east end of Bonita Beach Road.
The autopsy and subsequent investigation determined that the deceased was murdered, date unknown, but likely more than a year prior to the bones being discovered.
The murder happened elsewhere and the victim's body was transported to the location where it was found. The victim's identity is unknown, but he is a male, most likely in his 30s, standing between 4-foot-9 and 5-4l, and may be of Hispanic descent.
At the time of his death, the victim was wearing several layers of clothing.
