Two men were found dead Saturday in what the Lee County Sheriff's Office is calling a double homicide.
A passerby found an adult male lying in the grass just off the sidewalk along the south side of Pondella Road across from the intersection of Landsdale Drive in North Fort Myers at 6:21 a.m. Saturday.
EMS pronounced the adult male deceased. Deputies discovered the body of a second adult male behind the closed businesses.
Crime scene investigators with the Forensics Unit arrived to document and collect evidence. The District 21 Medical Examiner will perform autopsies to confirm causes of death. Detectives are trying to identify the two men.
