The Boca Grande Historical Society has scheduled a free lecture for 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23 in the Community Center Auditorium.
Author Amy Bennett Williams, a journalist and editor of Tropicalia magazine, tells the Caloosahatchee's story of ancient mastodons, 19th century entrepreneurs and the celebrities who have relaxed on the singular waterway that joins Southwest Florida with the Gulf of Mexico.
