A man who had just bought a motorcycle earlier in the day crashed into his own home at 11667 Bentwood Court, North Fort Myers and did not survive
Dana Robert St. John, 57, bought a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle that had been delivered to his residence earlier that day. It is believed he had no previous experience on any type of motorcycle before attempting to ride it in front of his home.
St. John drove the motorcycle over the roadway in front of his home and back into his yard before striking his own front door. The impact vaulted from the motorcycle and he struck his head against the home. St. John was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious head trauma. He was transported to Lee Memorial hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
