Six DUI arrests were made from 584 vehicles stopped at a sobriety checkpoint from 11 p.m. Friday to 2:30 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 41 southbound in Lee County in Fort Myers.
Police gave 23 citations, including four tickets for no driver's license and one arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
The DUI stop involved the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Fort Myers Police Department and the Florida Department of Transportation.
