The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will pay special attention to traffic enforcement at these locations from Feb. 20-26:
For speeders, the length of Placida Road where 40 crashes involving 71 vehicles in 2010 injured 14, causing $127,200 in damages.
Traffic signals will be watched on State Road 776 and San Casa Boulevard in Englewood where 18 crashes involving 41 vehicles in 2010, injured 13, causing $110,250 in damages.
The Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles reports Charlotte County has three vehicle deaths so far this year compared with three this time last year. Total fatalities for were 26.
