Charlotte County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit detectives arrested a 61-year-old man for allegedly masturbating in front of a 6-year-old girl.
Wallace Wendell Wesley, 61, 1527 Woodlawn Ave., Punta Gorda, denied masturbating the crime but was arrested and taken to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on no bond.
CCSO was called at 5:50 p.m. Thursday from a woman who saw Wesley sitting in a chair in his driveway across from the girl who was also sitting in a chair. The witness said Wesley was masturbating in front of the girl and when the woman yelled at him, Wesley stopped.

The girl was taken to the CCSO Major Crimes office for a forensic interview and reportedly revealed what she saw. Based on the witness and the girl's statements, detectives arrested Wesley at his home.
