Nancy Edmondson will discuss "Scrub Jays and Gopher Tortoises: Sharing Mother Earth" at the Native Plant Society monthly meeting at Lemon Bay Park, 570 Bay Park Blvd., Englewood, at 7 p.m. April 10.
The two wildlife species enjoy a level of protection in Southwest Florida. Edmondson will define the protection, how it affects the populations in our region, their natural history, habitat needs and management and how these species co-exist with humans.
