A Port Charlotte man was arrested Thursday for pumping septic tank contents into the storm drain in front of his home at 2139 Bermuda St.

Rodolfo Alberto Burbano, 53, was charged with littering hazardous environmental waste.

A witness reported the dumping to police. Deputies talked to Burbano who said he could not afford having his septic tank pumped by a licensed contractor.
