Helen L. Richards, 89, of Englewood, died April 11.
Born Jan. 10, 1923, in Rochester, N.Y., to Louis and Aleta Conte, she moved to the Englewood area in 1979 after retiring from the banking industry.
She is survived by a daughter, Carole (Eugene) Peterson of Englewood; son, E. Louis Richards of Rochester; brother, Joseph Conte of Wayland, N.Y; and her longtime friends, Maryann and Peter DeBlasis of Nokomis. She left behind many friends and co-workers from K-Mart and Bealls Department Stores in Englewood.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
