Father-son grow house raided

Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit detectives, using a search warrant at 1 p.m. Tuesday, reported finding a small grow house operation in a garage at 23385 Ferndale Ave., Port Charlotte and arrested a father and son on marijuana charges.

Brian Dale Greig, 57, allegedly cultivated marijuana plants in pots under grow lights in a garage closet. Plants seized weighed approximately 213 grams. On the kitchen counter another 4.6 grams were found, and in Greig's bedroom, another 18.7 grams of marijuana were located.

Brian Greig was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana more than 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

His son, Nicholas Thomas Greig, 22, was issued a notice to appear for possession of marijuana under 20 grams and possession of marijuana.

Brian Greig posted a $6,000 bond and was released.
