A local department store employee reported finding marijuana in the store Monday.
At about 9:34 a.m., Cape Coral police responded to a report of found property at the store on Santa Barbara Boulevard. An employee stated that a small amount of suspect marijuana was found near the registers.
The marijuana weighed 4.7 grams, according to a report.
The employee requested that police take possession of the drugs. The officer confiscated the marijuana and turned it in for destruction.
