The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will pay special attention to traffic enforcement on Placida Road June 18-24.
It will also monitor speeders on Veterans Boulevard in Port Charlotte.
Traffic lights will be monitored at State Road 76 and Beach Road in Englewood and U.S. 41 and Harbor Boulevard in Port Charlotte.
The Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles reports Charlotte County has had 11 vehicle deaths through June compared with 10 this same time last year. Fatalities for 2011 totaled 26.
