Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives say a 27-year-old granddaughter was victimizing her 71-year-old grandmother by stealing checks from her Port Charlotte home.
Robin Danielle Suggs,1124 Hagle Park Road, Bradentone was charged with burglary and 28 felony counts, including 12 for uttering forged checks, 12 for forgery and one count grand theft of a person over 65, burglary, dealing in stolen property and giving false verification of ownership to a pawn broker.
Suggs is in the Charlotte County Jail on $62,500 bond.

The grandmother called police June 3, 2011, reporting $2,077 worth of checks were taken from her checkbook and cashed at her credit union. Suggs and her partner, Samantha Jean Olschewski, 24, 5537 16th Street N, Bradenton, lived in her home at the time the thefts occurred between April 13 and May 10, 2011.
The home burglary occurred sometime between May 7 and May 28, 2011, involving theft of two air compressors, a spray gun, a helmet and several other items. The compressors and other items were found at an El Jobean pawn shop.
Olschewski was arrested Aug. 23, 2011, on nine forgery counts and one grand theft. She was released from the Charlotte County Jail Feb. 16.
