The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office charged the mother and father of a 17-month-old baby boy Friday with aggravated manslaughter of a child.
Amber Rose Landry, 29, 4485 Church St., and Scott Paul Landry, 31, 20289 Kindermac Ave., are in the Charlotte County Jail without bond.
On Nov. 17, 2011 deputies responded at 12:30 p.m. to 27068 Chile Drive, Deep Creek, on a call about a non-responsive infant. Deputies contacted Amber who said her son was not breathing.

An ER doctor said the infant arrived in full cardiac arrest and later died. The baby's urinalysis was positive for presence of opiates.
Scott told police he was on methadone and his wife goes to a methadone clinic. Police found three empty prescription bottles of Oxycodone prescribed for Scott in a locked drawer with two empty prescription bottles of methadone prescribed to Scott.
Two other children in the home, ages 2 and 9, were removed by the Department of Children & Families and tested by a pediatrician. The 2-year-old's urine tested positive for Benzo and Oxycodone. DCF placed the two children in the care of their grandparents.
Charlotte County Medical Examiner Dr. R.H. Imami performed an autopsy and said he found nothing suspicious and no trauma to the body, however, toxicology was pending. On Dec. 21, detectives met with Dr. Imami who advised toxicology showed a toxic level of Oxycodone in the infant's blood along with a high dosage of Oxymorphone in his urine.
He said the baby's body metabolized the Oxycodone into Oxymorphone and the boy still had Oxycodone in his blood that had not yet been processed. Dr. Imami reported the boy died due to cardiopulmonary arrest with bronchopneumonia, secondary to Oxycodone intoxication. He added the Oxycodone intoxication was a contributing factor to the boy's death.
MCU detectives say they learned the parents had been snorting Oxycodone the night before the boy's death. Detectives said the abuse of Oxycodone caused the lack of supervision, allowing the children to ingest Oxycodone.
