Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives say thev have solved two more "car hopping" burglaries to unlocked vehicles in Grove City.
Andrew "Drew" Darrell Neiding, 24, 2075 Georgia Ave., Grove City, was served arrest papers in his Charlotte County Jail cell Tuesday charging him with two counts burglary to a conveyance and grand theft. He's been in jail since April 30 on three previous car burglaries near his home.
The investigation began April 30 when a neighbor said he saw Neiding stealing from a van. The neighbor grabbed his pellet gun and detained Neiding until deputies arrived.

Neiding was arrested for burglarizing three vehicles in the 2100 block of Illinois Avenue and 2100 block of Mississippi Avenue in Grove City. Items were reportedly recovered in a shoebox in Neiding's home.
The latest charges were for burglary of two unlocked vehicles parked at two homes in the 2100 block of Oyster Creek Drive. A GPS unit and a cellphone charger were missing from one vehicle; and a Blackberry cell phone, laptop and case from another.
Neiding's family members reportedly called CCSO to report they found these items hidden in Neiding's bedroom; some were located behind an air conditioner when the filter was changed.
Neiding remains in jail on no bond as the investigation continues.
