A Whiskey Creek bank robber suspected was arrested: Jacob Scott, 29, 4432 Lane St., Winston Salem, N.C., was apprehended by the U.S. Marshal's task force at the Micro Hotel, 4056 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte.
Scott was located after an anonymous tip. He jumped out of a third-floor window to escape arrest but was apprehended by units on the ground.
Scott was placed under arrest for out-of-state warrants, including one4 from North Carolina for bank robbery. The victim of the bank robbery in Lee County identified Scott as the robber.

Scott is being held at the Charlotte County jail on the existing charges and a warrant will be issued for the robbery he committed in Lee County at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday at Bank of America, 6100 Whiskey Creek Drive, Fort Myers.
