The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will close all state-operated driver license offices at 4 p.m. and bring all services offline at 6 p.m. today. The Department plans to restore all services by 9 a.m. Sept. 10. Customers will not be able to access Internet services during the weekend.
The Department also is not scheduling appointments in its driver license offices Sept. 10 or the morning of Sept. 11.
The move is part of the state's Data Center Consolidation plan.
