It has long been assumed herbivorous butterflies are attracted to sodium salt solutions in sand. I sprinkled a small amount of table salt in a damp spot in our driveway and lots of orange sulphur butterflies soon were slurping it up. Try this at your Boca Grande home where you have a damp spot. Set out a tray with a salty solution in sand and see what happens.
