A 911 call to the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 5:48 p.m. Sunday led to a dead body on Fort Myers Beach.
A swimmer had gone, missing, the caller said. The person was found unconscious and not breathing on the beach behind the Diamond Head Resort, 2000 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach.
Paramedicstried to revive an unconscious male lying in the sand near the shore line. After th effort by EMS, the male was pronounced deceased.
