Lt. Caparo passes state leadership test

Lt. Darrell Caparo of the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office was one of 31 officers to graduate from the 15th Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Senior Leadership Program in Tallahassee.

Chief Bill Prummell, sheriff-elect and Major Mark Caro attended the ceremony.

Lt. Caparo, head of the CCSO Operational Support Division, was the only officer representing Southwest Florida in this class.

The Senior Leadership Program participants study trends and events involving criminal justice professionals in our state and examine leadership skills.

The Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute, established within the FDLE and affiliated with the State University System, was established in 1990 by the Florida Legislature.
