The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will conduct low-manpower DUI checkpoints starting Friday and running through Nov. 1.
"Our deputies will stop traffic and conduct various test procedures looking for impaired drivers," said Sheriff Bill Cameron.
The Sheriff Office does not announce times or locations of DUI checkpoints in hopes it will deter those who may drink and drive, or use drugs and drive.
