November 9, 2012
Gasparilla Gazette

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested 25-year-old Jesse Thomas Wilkes Thursday after the Port Charlotte man allegedly advertised on Craig's List Internet site "Looking for Roxy."

He was charged with attempting to buy a controlled substance (Oxycodone) and public assistance fraud.

The Narcotics Unit began an Internet investigation after receiving a tip. Wilkes reportedly wanted Oxycodone pills in exchange for a food stamp card worth $100.
