Mae Phelan drained 12 of 15 shots in the best shooting performance at the 11th annual Turkey Hoop Shoot Championship Saturday at the Boca Grande Community Center.
More than 70 shooters took aim in the tourney, said organizer Joe Wier.
"The Boca Grande Community Center would like to thank the contestants who participated in the 2011 Turkey Hoop Shoot Contest," Wier said. "It was a huge success."

Two competitions required sudden death.
Wyatt Bush sank 2 of 5 shots to win the co-ed title for 5- and 6-year-olds. Nicole Coleman prevailed in double sudden death to win the girls 15-up division.
Winners earned trophies, basketballs and turkey gift certificates donated by the Friends of Boca Grande Community Center.
