Barton & Gray Mariners Club returns to Gasparilla Island

November 20, 2012
Gasparilla Gazette

To the Editor:

The Barton & Gray Mariners Club has great new overnight excursions and dayboating outings starting Nov. 19 at the Boca Grande Marina for you and the family to enjoy during the holidays.

Get away from Boca Grande for a day and head south to Cayo Costa Stat Park just 12 miles south encompasses 2,500-plus square acres and more than 9 miles of sugar-sand beaches.

Don't feel limited to the land. Our captains know the areas with limited human access so shells are plentiful, as well as, snorkeling equipment if getting your feet wet is interesting.

Cayo Costa State Park has kayaking and biking rentals available on island. Enjoy a leisurely walk on nature trails that meander through the beautiful barrier island. Along the way you can see many species of birds, including several rare and endangered.

Longing for a romantic and relaxing getaway instead? Spend your day yachting and savor the Florida sunset from sea. Finish your day at Useppa Island at a truly private club dedicated to the art of relaxation and recreation. Situated within the famous tropical isles of the Southwest coast of Florida. Enjoy fine dining in an Old Florida style at the Club's Collier Room or on the veranda with an extensive selection of worldly wines and Maine lobster.
