To the Editor:

By all accounts, the Boca Grande Art Alliance's Whodunit 2013 fund-raiser was a roaring success.

More than 200 people attended the event Saturday, Feb. 16. Everyone seemed to have a fun time and many went home with fabulous original pieces by local artists.

Special thanks for the event's success go to the following:

Our sponsors: Italiano Insurance Services, Boca Grande Realty, the Boca Grande Club, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and contributions in memory of Jenni Rogerson and Ray Humke.

The artists: 52 donated 88 pieces for the event, delighting the attendees and highlighting the incredible talent that thrives in this area.

Establishments that donated yummy goodies: Boca Bay Pass Club, Boca Grande Club, Cabot Cheese, Gramcracker Caf, Naked Food, Patrick's, Prime Time, South Beach, The Fishery, The Gasparilla Inn, The Grapevine, The Loose Caboose and the Temptation, plus members of the Whodunit food committee.

Our amazing master of ceremonies, Del-Bourree Bach, who sang, told jokes and made the evening an enchanted one.

More than 40 volunteers, who helped in numerous ways, including those who loaned their convertibles for the Whodunit car parade Feb. 14.

Finally, the hard-working Whodunit 2013 Committee: Randy Bell, Marsy Doan, Elise Elliott, Carolann George, Sunnie Hellman, Lona Kissinger, Annie Knode, John Mitchell Sr., Cathy Munsell, Cathy Parkes, Pike Powers and Bob Vorel, along with Gloria Mitchell and Deb Halpin.

The evening demonstrated once more why Boca Grande is a magical place. Thanks to everyone involved and to all who support the arts on and around Gasparilla Island.
