The Boca Grande Community Center 5K Run & Fun Walk has already attracted a record of nearly 300 registered runners.
The race begins at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, said organizer Joe Wier, in front of the Community Center on First Street, goes past Whidden's Marina, beside the Inn on Fifth Street, in front of the Inn on Palm Street, on east Railroad Avenue past 18th Street, back to Fifth Street via the bike path, on the west side of Gilchrist to the finish on Banyan Street.
"The Boca Grande Community Center wants the community to please share the road with runners and walkers on Sunday morning," Wier said.
